The graduates of ASBU Department of History are expected to be equipped with the necessary academic skills to pursue graduate degrees in Turkey and abroad, in the areas of Ottoman, Turkish, European, and Middle Eastern studies, with the ability to utilize the theoretical and practical knowledge as well as the research skills in their studies. Graduates of the Department, by means of the different language skills acquired during their education, will not only be qualified to work as researchers, experts, and lecturers at universities, but also they will able to develop careers at research centers and the archival sections of different institutions, and work at different posts in different public institutions, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, TİKA, Turkish Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, and the Ministry of European Union.
