Tarih bölümü öğretim üyelerinden Erdem Sönmez, Society for the History of the Humanities tarafından 20-22 Eylül 2021 tarihleri arasında düzenlenen The Making of the Humanities adlı konferansta "The Making of a Discipline: Institutionalization and Professionalization of History in the Ottoman Empire" başlıklı bir bildiri sunmuştur.
